A Simple and Soft Peachy Makeup Look

I mentioned in my Beauty Picks for Spring post that the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette ($49) was one of my favorite warmer-weather palettes. Even though it’s only been a few weeks since that post, I still hold true to that statement. The colors in this palette have been a dream to play around with, and I love creating fresh, fun looks like this one. Here’s my step-by-step to get this simple, soft peachy eye with a bright lip look: FOR THE EYES: After priming my eyes, I started off by dusting the color ‘Georgia’ across my crease. This one served as my transition shade.…

My Favorite Essie Nail Polishes for Spring

Ok, so tiny little confession here: I’m so bad at keeping my nails painted! I hate the way they look when they’re chipped, so I figure the best way to avoid that is to not paint them at all. It’s logical, but far from aesthetic. The sad thing is I own some pretty good-looking nail polishes, and I don’t even put them to use! I decided to change that this month by featuring three of my favorite Essie colors that are perfect fits for spring. Sugar Daddy I love the understated look of this polish. It has that “your nails but…

Beauty Picks for Spring

Spring is always a highly-anticipated season for me. I love the milder seasons like spring and fall; I don’t care for summer and winter much. Unfortunately, we only get a few weeks of spring here before it starts to feel like summer, so I’m trying to enjoy it as much as I can! In celebration, here are some of my spring beauty picks. TooFaced Sweet Peach Palette // $49 This is probably my favorite ‘warm-weather palette’ at the moment. It just screams springtime! I love the pink and peach tones for a simple daytime look, and the warm browns are perfect for more…

How I Remove ALL of My Makeup

We can all agree that the worst part about makeup is having removing it at the end of the night. You’re so tired and all you want to do is crawl into bed… DON’T DO IT! Sleeping with makeup on is one of the worst things you can do to your skin. Even just a trace of makeup can lead to breakouts, and unfortunately I learned this the hard way. When I was younger, I thought simply using a face wash would do the trick. It didn’t. When I was a bit older, I discovered makeup remover. A little better, but still not…

March 2017 Boxycharm Unboxing

Woohoo, it’s Boxycharm time! My box arrived later than usual this month, but as always it’s worth the wait. If you don’t already know, Boxycharm is a monthly makeup subscription box that costs $21 a month. You receive 5 full-size products (at least most of the time) that add up to be worth much more than the price you pay for the box. This month’s theme is “Creepy Cute.” It isn’t my favorite box that I’ve gotten, but it still came with some pretty neat items: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer ($16) Unfortunately, the primer we received in our box is…
