May 2017 Goals

A new month means a new list of goals! April was a great month. I feel like I accomplished my two main goals: establishing regular exercise and blogging routines. I’m really proud that I consistently had multiple posts every week, and I’m also feeling great now that I’m back into yoga and walking again. I did read a book, 13 Reasons Why (you can check out my thoughts here), and I know I will always be working on my photography and eating healthier. Might as well chalk those up as lifetime goals! As for May, I’m hoping to: Spend smarter. April was a bad month for my bank…

How I Balance Blogging & a Full-Time Job

To put it simply: it’s not easy. In fact, it took me a whole year to figure out a schedule that I could stick to without feeling completely overwhelmed! I work 9am-6pm Monday-Friday at a small marketing agency, and it demands a lot of my brain power. Most nights after work, I feel pretty drained and brain-fried, and all I want to do is veg-out on the couch for the rest of the night. One day I decided I didn’t want to live like a sloth anymore, so I decided to come up with a plan that would get me…

How Adopting a Dog Changed My Life

When I moved out of my parents’ house a couple years ago, I knew I wanted to eventually adopt a puppy. Growing up, we always had pets at home, so it only made sense for me to carry on the tradition into my new life. I was yearning for a companion. Only a little convincing was needed to get my boyfriend on board. I…

April 2017 Goals

As usual, the year is flying by. April came quick as ever, and I have a fresh batch of goals for the month. I’m happy to wave goodbye to the colder weather and take in the warm sunshine for a change. Who knew a simple season change could be such a mood booster? This is the first goals post I’ve done. I thoroughly enjoy reading about others’ goals; they inspire me to create my own! Here is a list of my April goals. (Yes, it’s short. Gotta start somewhere!) Keep the blogging momentum. When I started writing for my blog again, I…

Why I Started a Blog

Starting a blog wasn’t a spontaneous decision for me; I had actually thought about it for months before it came into fruition. I graduated college in 2015 and landed a corporate position soon after. My degree is in graphic design, a pretty creative field. I knew this creativity would be limited, however, because I would be making work for clients who had visions and identities of their own. I needed something fun, something that was mine, to indulge in to satiate my desire for productivity. I can thank a certain small gray notebook for helping me start my blogging journey. Ideas began flooding…
