Searching for the right shade of foundation can be a pain for anyone. As someone who has had paper white skin for as long as I can remember, it can be frustrating blindly dropping $40 on a foundation that doesn’t blend well with your skin. Luckily, I was able to find five affordable (key word here) drugstore foundations for those who have the hard-to-match porcelain skin tone. These are listed in order of coverage, starting with light coverage, since everyone has different needs when it comes to their foundation. I chose these foundations because of their lasting-power and color; I do not own a…

I’ve been having a lot of fun with color lately, but this week I thought I’d scale back and share a more natural look. This is a type of look that I wear a lot because it is more of an everyday look. Brown eyeshadow looks are perfect for those with blue and green eyes. The neutrals accentuate your eyes just enough to allow your natural color to pop, but they blend in with the rest of your features so as not to steal the show. I’ve been getting a lot of use out of my Lorac PRO Metal Palette lately. Even though it only contains eight colors, I’m having fun mixing them up and seeing what kinds of looks I can create. My latest creation is this green and gold smokey eye look. I used five of the eight shades: Granite, Clover, Gilded, Onyx, and Quartz. Overall, I’m really pleased with the outcome. I am a pretty big fan of Too Faced eye shadow palettes. When I saw that they were coming out with the Sweet Peach palette, my heart skipped a beat. One of my favorite palettes ever is the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, which is made up of a bunch of pink shades. The Sweet Peach palette is essentially that, but instead of it being monochromatic like the Naked 3 palette, it has a variety of colors alongside the peach shades such as browns and purples. Some people have mentioned that they would have liked the palette if it had…

Spring is in the air, and that means an increase of pretty pastel colors everywhere. I made no exceptions with this eye look that I’m about to share; I’ve decided to retire my normally darker looks for now to shake things up a bit. The fun thing about this look is the warm colors mixed with a pop of cool. I was happy with the way they all complemented one another. The warm shades came from the Lorac Pro Metal Palette, and the turquoise is the L’oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in “Endless Sea.” You could add some eyeliner to this look if you’d like, but I personally just…
